well, you can submit art and stuff by clicking Submit on your toolbar at the top of the page. if you just rest your mouse on it, though, you can update your journal and do all of that.
i see you already know how to use messaging and deviantWatching
when you scroll over your username, you can update your settings like your signature, which is that little blurb of words of your choice at the bottom of your comments, or your avatar, which is the picture in the box next to your username on your page.
when you post deviations, you pick categories. when you want an ID for your page, like a photo of you or something, you can go to submit a photo and use the category "deviantArt related" and then "deviantID". then you go to page settings and make it your ID.
when we hang out, i'll explain all this better
